the longest week...
aahhh...!! its been such a long continously straining week, last week. particularly the weekend. the college talentime nite committee seem to have brought in local artistes to promote their event. (talentime/TT nite is arranged for freshies every year.) a karen kong (who they proudly announced that she was a winner of the TT nite a few years back) and a serene (who will be guest star on TT nite) came last wednesday and thursday respectively to promote their albums. i have one ticket to watch TT nite, and could be getting one more if anyone wants to accompany me on the 1st july.
sunday... the most draining day of the week! not only i had been fast asleep the moment my head touches the pillow every weekday, it extended to the weekend also! i slept late last night to make final arrangements with melc and kenji about sunday. so first things first, mum dropped kenji and i at melc's place around 10am . when we arrived some of melc's relatives were there too. i received a gold fountain pen while melc a black fountain pen from kenji. it had our names engraved on the cap and on the body too! i managed to finish and gave melc a personalised rhinestone- and metal-studded beret coz it would be Totally uncomfortable to wear a hand-studded t-shirt as i have one myself. i pray it got past the metal detector or whatever else the customs counter have nowadays.
that reminds me, i had an SMS chat with melc about it three months ago (melc asked if i wanted to have anything from her nail polish collection):
melc, i hope you dont mind me posting the exact SMS we exchanged that day.. i kept a lot of SMSes in my phone that i often get "no space for new messages".. make that everyday of late. anyway, where did i stop? oh yes. we all left the house in two cars since there were six humongous luggages melc and alvin had packed. melc, kenji and i sat in one with her parents while another was filled with the other half of her family who was going to KLIA. of the two who brought a camera each to capture the moment, kenji was the one more rajin than i. >_<
at one o'clock, we were scruntinising the photos of me in langkawi (since they weren't deleted off the memory). by two o'clock, melc already boarded her flight with alvin. she was headed to taiwan for the connection flight straight to san francisco. around 8pm, i sent her an SMS but no reply.. (melc, i thought five hours later you would have arrived at taiwan?)
the insane thing was, i didn't go home after sending melc off. neither did kenji. melc's parents kindly dropped us at the nearest LRT station and off we went. we split at i-forgot-what-station as he has several more meetings for the day while i headed to my advertising group's apartment near campus to discuss our assignment. tired!!! by the end of the day, i couldn't think of anything worse than having to wake up more or less than six hours later for monday.
coming 15th july is the orientation odyssey/OO nite, and yesterday the OO committe brought in vick, the second runner-up in the first season of malaysian idol who was obviously here to promote his album as well. i'll be redeeming one ticket for this event, and a second ticket if someone shall want to be watching the pageant too.
saturday... speaking of promotion, i shall promote an upcoming anime event at taylor's uni college this coming saturday, 30th june. minori and i attended a pre-meeting at taylor's for the anime fest 2007 which i wouldn't say would kill you if you plan to participate in any contests but did not attend. the thing is, (i don't know to say its good or bad but) when i walked into the multi-purpose hall/MPH, i realised that the stage was just too spacious for the individual cosplay.. which means i may pull out from the cosplay contest afterall. plus, there were no more than seven cosplayers registered for the competition anyway.

dame dame nodame...
nodame! i'm beginning to follow a little of her habits.. and the past two days, i committed one. since i get home so late lately, i had to skip washing my hair or else i'd sleep with wet hair (baaad). today i had a long shower and had my hair washed. minus the presence of chiaki...
oh yes. why was i late? yesterday, the ELS first meeting (of the semester) ends at8pm , but i got home at 10pm .. =_= i had early dinner of mixed rice in the canteen and a chocolate doughnut (refreshment at the meeting). on the way home, i had A&W nuggets and root beer float (supper you may say). if i wanted to, i wouldn't even bother to bathe last night (another nodame habit) since i really needed the sleep. but hygiene is hygiene. my face needs that scrub.
btw, somehow my eyes have opened to new views.. whenever without the camera (for the past week now) i see so many frames of scenes and sceneries i want to capture and regret not having one with me everyday. so yeah, i really missed all those shots coz i was thinking that when i do carry the camera there won't be any picturesque frames, and when i don't it would be otherwise. should i carry one tomorrow? (i wish i had night photographs from and in the campus.. KLCC looked so majestic while the campus looked three aesthetic level up!)
today, i got home at 8.30pm but lecture ended at 6pm. stepadoo and i took the public bus to the putra lrt station, but not without unwanted time-wasting. first, we had to wait half an hour to get the bus. then, we had to waste another half hour coz the bus took us on a joyride and made a big round before coming back to the college to pick up more students who are going to the station! after that only we began our journey to the starting point of our trip home (the train).
my menu today: cupcakes (breakfast), chocolate-filling waffle and ayamas drumstick (lunch), keropok lekor (tea snack), various fried with rice (dinner). i wonder if i left out anything. envy yet? i eat so much but i dont gain that much weight. i am underweight in the first place anyway. melc, this is the menu i suggest you have every day until the 24th of june! we're both suitable for the diet cough *underweight* cough and you are gonna miss the scrumptious malaysian food when you are overseas. mmm, i wonder what's for supper tonight? btw, there's rice wine in the brewing/fermenting process right here in my home now. it'll take a week before its done...

seeing melc had uploaded tons of photos, i shall do no less, ne~ alright, i'll spare the slow users (including yours truly) and upload only a handful of them instead... here are some pictures taken at langkawi not too long a ago:
me posing with a flock of flamingoes at the bird park... i read that they turn pink coz tiny prawns get stuck on the feather when the flamingo goes for a dip in the water, no?

birthday week!
my 18th birthday has been special---uhh, special like every other year coz i only celebrate my 18th birthday once.. just like every other birthday. (somebody please tell me how to make my birthday sound special?)
last thursday... its time for another flight to take flight. (that was so lame.) mum called for an airport limo to pick us up to KLIA in the morning and shortly after leaving home, she realised that her hp wasn't in sight. it sent dad and mizuiro on a wild goose chase but then, i heard her hp vibrating inside her sling bag as it happened to be on silent mode. (yes, amazing isn't it? i can hear the vibration; its the truth.)
once we arrived at langkawi, the resort had a cab arranged to pick us from the airport and also a half-day tour. so off we went to the bird park, air hangat village, mahsuri's memorial, perdana gallery and eagle square (in no particular order). since there were two digicams around, mum was the shutterbug while i had one to camwhore. XD
by midnight, my hp was buzzing for the next hour. kclee, yazid, and tharani sent me birthday wishes by sms; then, tharani called and so did kenji. only the latter called to not wish me happy birthday. o-kay.
friday... my birthday! if you spent the day with me, you'd never have guessed so. (except for melc's sms wishing me happy birthday.) yesterday's "today's cocktail" at the resort was purple rain but i did not drink it.. however, i woke up with a headache---must have been true about told not having enough sleep. >_< betul.
saturday... since a vacation means holiday means taking the day off means a time to relax, i spent the day lying around soaking up the sun and air-cond (in the room that i share with mizuiro). i can't believe one day i would allow the sun to touch my skin let alone get myself tanned. by the end of the day (after all that lazing around, eating, swimming and watching tv), i totally forgotten about my plan to call GBD who i was told was at langkawi too (but working). by night, i was supposed to be packing up but i continued to soak up some cartoons on disney channel... yay, totally spies! XD
sunday... *fwuuu* went the plane towards KLIA-LCCT at noon. by the time i got home around 3pm, i started packing for the cosplay photoshoot melc informed which was to be held at kenji's place with several others. i haven't had my lunch yet; so i thought i could have a sort of high-tea of sushi n cupcakes. however, we proceeded to the 'restricted' photoshoot (due to the limited space to move about as it was raining) with tsing yie as the photographer for kenji and melc the random pirates; luluchiaki the edward elric; and me the eclair (kiddy grade).
after we started on the yummies (but the cupcakes turned 'cupzzas' coz the stale cupcakes tasted like pizzas with kenji's mum's pasta sauce... sorry melc, you taught me that the readers have the right to know the truth, lol~) i was wondering what's the dessert they were talking about.. suddenly, the lights went out and candles lighted up the place---it was a birthday cake! thanks you all~ i'll never forget this birthday. i didn't suspect it was a strawberry ice-cream cake until i stabbed the cake with a plastic knife.
i didn't even suspect it was a surprise party. melc is becoming such a good cover-upper. (she called it a party several times while we were on the phone but i put away the idea of coming up with an idea since she covered it up so well.) or perhaps i was so hungry i was only looking forward to eating the yummies. XD but thanks lots to everyone who made my birthday so special! the photos will be up some time later once they get around. ^__^
