cosplay 2008/09~

yay for the new year! cosplay project post in july 2007, i have started the following (which are coincidentally in order from top of the list, if you read the old post):
- amane misa / death note (90% - only the collar has no lace sewn and i cannot style my wig like the illustration; then retire)
- chii / chobits (10% - only got the bloody long wig and persocom pink&white prop; basically can spoil her in any extra frilly sweet lolita dress XD)
- ryomou shimei / ikki tousen (5% - need to style the blue wig and sew her meido costume <3 and have to speed up, because new season of ikkitousen gonna be released and i'll be prehistoric)

as for the rest of the old list:
- midori & seiji / midori no hibi (give up - mizuiro dont wanna be my midori T_T)
- rinalee / d. gray man (give up - i dont give a damn how much more sexy her newer outfits are becoming)
- nemu kurotsuchi / bleach (gradual progress - i found a mayuri cosplayer, but he still hasnt contacted me! TAT
- yukari "caroline" / paradise kiss (no progress - still weighing whether to give up or not because i cant find red tartan cloth for anime photoshoot version.. i want to live as yukari~)
- kougaiji / saiyuki reload (no progress - supposedly given up, but i found a sanzo! can team up later; as for flat chest, comments have been very encouraging, what about me not having enough flesh in the boobs for eclair, simca and misato)
- saki hanajima / fruits basket (give up - i kinda prefer to keep long black braid hair charas to nemu only, since it makes me look so cacat)

as for the present, i have also worked on some new charas that i did not forsee early enough to list them. here's a peek:
- misato katsuragi / neon genesis evangelion (new - just thought what a way to past time during the evangelion movie screening next month and next year's GACC evangelion group)

- simca no tsubame / air gear (sewing - AG group photoshoot this weekend! also because i cannot resist pink hair chara lol)

- seras victoria / hellsing (new - joining the hellsing group at CF2008 day1~ just because i love her harkonnen, wouldnt you? its 21inches long!)

- liz thompson / soul eater (shopping - together with patty and death the kid on CF2008 day2~ for the love of the manga, so nyah.)

- nina williams / tekken (dreaming - remember my short gray pantsuit during taylor's anime fest 2007? im hoping to work on nina's silver pantsuit ring fight version for comiworld 2008~)

- lacus clyne / GSD final plus (dreaming - because i love her chairwoman uniform! XD)

Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone

its time to shower another mecha anime some love!

come 3 july 2008, cathay cineplex damansara (cineleisure) will be exclusively releasing the Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone (pg-13 animation movie, running time of 98minutes in japanese language with english and chinese subtitles). here are some links to my sources:

okay, its not a great big event.. but you can dream and turn things around, no? well, no. i just wish to see a group of evangelion cosplay group there~ *bricked* i asked some other who cosplayed character from evangelion before, but will not be able to make it. what is the point of having the operations chief of NERV around if there are no pilots together? *wink*

i will be watching the movie one either one of these dates: the opening day (3july), the opening weekend (5july), the following weekend (12july). lalala~ im looking forward to it; anyone going, do inform me when you are to watch it, in case we get to book by group nyaaah.

C2AGE 2008 - HELP University (Bangsar)

there was this random decision to open a booth at c2age with ywsmokona since we decided to share a booth. so why not? i was looking forward to this year's c2age (despite negative advice) since i missed last year's event (i heard of the event only after it was over). you can get more info from the official c2age website (the below image from HELP student council website):

DATE: 31ST MAY 2008 (Saturday)

VENUE: HELP University College, Pusat Bandar Damansara
TIME: 8.00AM TO 5.00PM.
TICKET: RM10 per entry

by publishing date (today: 15june2008) i have already gone through some information processing and found out what and why conflicts arose (from my understanding)..

confusion with the date. so important yet the official c2age website was not updated by the end of march; they only produced the actual confirmation in mid-april - refer to site here.

unjust timing. just as important as the date, but not exactly a big problem until we found out that it starts at.. 8AM (instead of 10 or 11AM)! the boothkeepers were not spared; requested to register at 7AM onwards.

entrance fee mix-up. some sources allegedly reported entrance charge rm10 at door and rm8 by pre-order; perhaps also a misunderstanding copy+paste from last year's information (since the website was believed to be updated only in april when the event is in may) due to information hunger. because there was no such thing as pre-order price this year.

events (dis)organization. "10AM-4PM: Events."

first thing in the morning, went to star lrt with kilmenyanne; we split at the putra lrt as i headed to kl sentral to meet flame13th. then we took the rapidkl bus U82 (U83 also can but the other bus arrived first) all the way to damansara - unfortunately, we got down at the wrong HELP campus and had to wait for the next bus, since its further down the highway! i keep asking ywsmokona what are the landmarks and she told me "large carpark and housing area." first thing i thought was "it looks like KDU campus?" looks like i was wrong coz although the landmarks were there but it certainly did not look like my imagination..

feeling a bit lost (just a tiny bit) we asked around and two girls guided us right into the hall (through and underground stairs)! two seconds later (it was already AM) i found half my booth and the rest of the boothkeepers: yws and laimun. its fine that i sorta entered without inspection coz i was boothkeeper, to think c2age was a paying event, but they lacked security coz flame was entered for free! later, a staff asked me where is the c2age stamp on my hand (which i had none; no boothkeeper tag either) all i said was "i am a boothkeeper at that booth" to clear myself of suspicion. no wonder motr said you could get in for free.

as i brought my 4.0mp canon while yws had her 7.0mp i just took all my photos on her camera~ alright, enough with the ranting, on to the photos that you most probably looked at before reading the above..

since there wasnt many who stopped by at my half of the booth (having only a specific target audience), i decided to camwhore to past time~

i caught flame sneaking around while camwhoring XD (why does he have that mischievous grin?)

unknowingly he took away my sample headdress and ran away! TAT (no, i will not get down on my knees to get it back!) please mr. waiter, return my headdress~

yesh~ my charm worked and he soon left - without my headdress. on the left of my shared booth was Asiasoft gaming company (many unattended laptops while they were away!) and Animetech opposite them.

i followed flame down the stairs and bumped into L. dont worry, misa misa fans - this was an L cosplayer, the real L was gone a long time ago; misa is the real thing though! (otherwise i would not let L have my death note!)

the good and the bad..

further up i saw many tables set up for board games (mind you, its nothing like chess, snakes&ladders, or backgammon) and if you walked further you will enter the theater where you can play xbox360 and PS3.

guess what? this unknown of a body mass decided to block my path! your royal misa amane's path! how dare he!

i scribbled his name down the scrawny piece of death note torn away from the book and hidden in my camera - watch the flash of death! what happened later can be found on yws' blog!

upon returning to my booth, i saw a jrocker flirting with enma ai and her fiesty hone-onna.

after C2AGE, megami suggested sushi king lunch for my birthday the next day. since anyone would be up for some belanja makan-makan session, i went on with it. XD see previous post. here are some *coughcrappycough* photos taken on megami's phonecam that day.

at first i thought it was only me. suddenly, five pairs of eyes watch this plate intently evrytime the belt runs it past our table...

somehow, megami, manjix and amaterasu were interested in the "pregnant man & parenting" volume in the For Dummies series. (yes, this is a book boxset!)

ALIS 19th

oops! looks like i decided to pun the blog title again - alice 19th is a manga by watase yuu (also artist for ayashi no ceres, fushigi yuugi, absolute boyfriend).

not only that, i turned nineteen yesterday~ 31may was the c2age event at help university; i went there with flame13th and spent the whole day at my shared booth with ywsmokona - but that's coming in the next post, coz this one is dedicated to my birthday! before i continue, allow me to introduce you my new blog:

Last Days Of A Teen

let's see.. i got several early birthday wishes at c2age (from kclee, anna sagara.. sorry if i left out anyone!) the first one on 1june was an sms from yazid at midnight! i woke up a couple hours before noon (1june, sunday, of course) and lazed around until mizuiro woke up an hour after me; i asked her to call miko to join us but i dint allow more time to talk.. so by half past noon, dad stopped both of us at ywsmokona's house so that i can pick up my headdress materials (i accidentally left it with her after c2age). then, dad sent mizuiro and i off at ioi mall by 1pm; later he went yumcha also. XD

mizuiro teman me to GSC to buy five reserved tickets to superhero movie; we walked around a gift shop (ground floor; between guardian pharmacy and toy city), while we waited for the half of the gang to arrive. anything you buy there that is not a soft fluffy furry item, i will accept as birthday present no matter how cheap. XP (unfortunately nobody got me any of those.)

slightly past 1pm, we met up with megamitensei, amaterasu, and manjix at *drumroll* sushi king~ i was actually silly enough to have us sit opposite each other across the sushi belt! thank goodness a sympathetic waitress suggested a table to us (so that we sit opposite each other across a table instead) - hey, i dint see the short-legged tables okay! our lunch at sushi king was a treat from tensei (coz he had rm50 voucher XD) but i offered to pay half anyway. (we took photos with his phonecam but he hasnt uploaded any..)

once we got our hot green tea, the table slowly got swamped by little round colourful sushi plates. but in comparison, we could not beat irene's record of 44! (even with five persons to four girls!) - but i bet they dint order side dishes like the kitsune udon, unagi rice, macha ice-cream (red bean + green tea = yum!).. although there was three hours before the movie, we decided to stop after two hours of eating and yakking (yeah, we must have been the noise-makers that day) at sushi king.

finally! from background to foreground: paradise kiss dvd book opened up; narnia prince caspian movie merchandise; misa amane's prop used at c2age.

before we enter GSC, we ran around popular books and i found a paradise kiss dvd boxset! <3 style="font-weight: bold;">tensei's pocket (but i paid half too). oh, i also ripped the balance (a couple ringgit) from the movie ticket off manjix. then the boys fussed about getting some drinks+popcorn at the cinema snacks bar, so i also fussed about getting the narnia limited edition glass with purchase of large set (two drinks and one large popcorn), which amaterasu got for me after all. ^____^

superhero was a comedy, to be more exact, spoof of superhero movies (by marvel comics/studio) filled with strange things you dont expect your average caped/masked hero to do. when i watched the movie trailer sometime ago, i decided i should try watch a stupid spoof - but it turned out even tensei agreed with me this is one of the better spoof movies today. i enjoyed smirking at the faces of parents who took their underaged children to watch it without knowing it contained stupidity you dont want your kids to catch (if they havent got enough), and risque (suggestive) double entrande but in the form of visual (can you imagine what were running in the heads of conservative parents?). if you want to really enjoy this movie, i suggest you have watched some superhero movies (spiderman, x-men) and a tiny bit of pron. yup. pron.

miko got me a random present!

after the movie ended, we rounded the entire ioi mall while waiting for tensei's dad to fetch us home - my home, fyi. after we picked up a chocolate cake from king's confectionary, we did a mini countdown on the way out of the carpark - 10, 9, 8.. 4, 3, 2---YEAH! free parking if you exit within 15minutes. once we got back home, it was around 7pm; but we still invited miko who arrived after dinner.. spent some time fussing about which pizza to buy - pizzahut or domino's (nobody mentioned shakey's at all)??

while waiting for our order, we watched random anime: kanon, himawari, midori no hibi.. then we peek a bit on the computer for kanokon! XD (of course, i stopped the episode before some kids stick his hand in the pants.) as luck would have it, we let the poor domino's deliveryman to take his time, and extorted a free pizza voucher from him. after the pizza, crazy fun time starts...

drinking like misato (evangelion) but sip after sip of coke, coz we were about to burst out laughing each time we drank.. shouting kanpai over and over, until i think the neighbour almost killed us (*almost* coz we are still alive).. having choc cake and coke, i think that's enough sugar for one night.. went on yakking and then.. playing blackjack while waiting for 11pm (when they all went back home).. finally, check up all my sms greetings - thanks y'all!
