mid march - Hitz.fm announced DA showcase, but no set date yet.

26 march - Hitz.fm DJ rudy phoned (to win four tickets to DA showcase)!

27 march - attempt to win Sony+TheStar's contest to interview DA!

8 april - collected four tickets to DA showcase from DiGi!

10 april - collected four tickets to DA showcase from Astro!

hello fans of David Archuleta! i am now in sunway amphitheatre, awaiting the appearance of David himself! i dont really know the programme as of press time, but it has been speculated that our 2nd Malaysian Idol winner Daniel Lee is doing the opening act!

this is only HALF the tickets my friend and i have received (coz we have eight)!

some of you may remember (a few months ago) that the local otaku scene speculated Hirano Aya was in Malaysia; they stalked KL down to her hotel and whereabouts, and incidentally, found her dressed in the Malaysian traditional baju kurung. expect no less from the next idol in Malaysia!

very recently at david archuleta's press conference, he appeared to have donned a lovely green baju melayu, and he learnt how to tie the kain samping live on stage too! here is a photo sequence from sultanmuzaffar's blog.

Samsung's HSM POSTER POSER

while i was at sunway pyramid yesterday morning (collecting some particular concert ticket) with nqw, we stop by at Samsung's outlet. then, picked up a flyer for their promotion (valid from 13march until 12april) which looked strangely familiar.

if you dont know what this is, you are way behind time.

although i am not a great big fan of HSM or Samsung, but i must say i dont believe in infringement! its blatantly selfish and demoralizing to the original creator (in this case Disney vs. Samsung). gosh, you still dont know what Samsung's flyer resemble?

THIS is what the original looks like.

apparently Samsung was using Disney's High School Musical image without permission, to create a sensation to attract attention of the young (perhaps they were thinking, Samsung gadgets for cool kids) because it was the school holidays during 13-22march. if they did receive prior permission, why in the world would they have to 'fake' HSM image with "Hurry! School Holidays Magical Promotion"?

INSIDE the flyer, Samsung advertises their products and gadgets (no, i am not going to promote what they sell by taking a photo of it too). it also seems that their designers at Samsung are trying to imitate HP flyer's style by using an external attachment to their product (except that HP does it with permission because they dont try to 'hide' the fact they are using an outsider image).

so what? Samsung promotion is almost ending, and Disney did not sue them. does that not show how ignorant we are? HSM fans must do something.

my my, look at the time. we certainly had a long day today no? of course my post here was a hoax. you dint think i was going to give up at the last minute, right? the thing about me is that if i say i will, then i will. like the prime minister (pak lah) said on TheStar front page today, we both have problems with punctuality. in my case, sure i will do something, but more often than not, i will be done a little later or past the deadline.

hi emo post here.

i have been thinking for a while now. just so you know the timeline, i started my diploma in may 2007, and now am in the final (sixth) semester before i graduate.

since i have been struggling between studying for my diploma and working part time, i am putting my foot down and i dont want to study anymore. media studies is irrelevant to the mass communication industry, and it is not even close to the field i thought it was when i first registered. the people in my class are horrible - nobody bothers me, talk to me, help me, or do any work for assignments. they are just a whole bunch of crappy people who are afraid to speak up to me just because i am their course rep and not bat an eye until i do everything. yeah you heard that right, i am not the assistant course rep anymore.

after tomorrow, i wont be going to classes (coz today i will be going to the college to submit forms for withdrawal from this course). i will continue my part time work and take up short courses that have offered me scholarships (flight attendant training and baking course - specialized in baking only, no cooking melc, you might want to try this when you are back). next year, i hope i'll be flying in JAL (as they are not accepting malaysian stewardess until 2010).
