souvenirs from japan! 「おみやげ！」

these are souvenirs from japan brought by friends and shared with colleagues two weeks ago~ the cookie boxes contains spicy cookies - i think is a great game idea (i do love spicy food too)! there is a bottle of oolong-cha (perhaps from a japanese convenience store, コンビニ) and the iconic Tokyo Tower keychain~ last but not least, a lot of yen coins (most likely enough for a few return train tickets).

*sigh* i wonder when will it be my turn to visit Japan?

yay~ the second Nuffnang cheque had arrived last week... now, time to renew domain! (silly girl, who shares their cheques in full view of the public? well, you cannot duplicate it if i already deposit the cheque to my account.)

oh, but, one-year or two-year domain renewal? hmm...

congratulations to myself! haha~

my blog has earned RM124.50 since August 2008 from Nuffnang (minus RM2, as each withdrawal transaction costs RM1) until now. it doesn't matter that many other Nuffies earn fivefold compared to mine.

the first cheque was from my previous blogspot URL, while the second cheque is from my current domain URL. today is one month since i requested for my second cheque, which will be arriving in July.

this is my first Nuffnang cheque in 2009!

TheStar awarded me with RM50 today!

kilmenyanne and i were driving to the LRT yesterday morning when i noticed there was HUGE water "fountain" at the petrol station just before we turn off to the highway. i immediately whipped out my trusty canon camera from my backpack (coincidentally, i brought it with me since it contained ACGC photos) and instructed her to drive slower as i take a few shots.

right after this shot, the traffic light turned green so i had no choice but to be content with three photos only. i quickly panicked as i needed to send them to TheStar ASAP, but i have no laptop and wifi in the car, nor do i have the camera USB cable! thanks to visha, we managed to view the photos directly from the camera's memory card in her laptop connection but i guess, the images were too large to upload with campus wifi.

after that, i noticed that the photos were rendered incompatible to view after i inserted the memory card back in the camera! so kilmenyanne and i went to her home and used her card reader to email directly to TheStar around 2pm. i thought it has becomed a norm to see broken public facilities in malaysia, so i did not expect them to publish my photo, what more as the winning entry.

today, after i got home, kilmenyanne rang me up and hinted me to check TheStar Thumbnails page. it turned out that my photo has been chosen as the winning entry of the day! *happy*

NEW wishlist!

there was last month, and now there is this month. october has been hectic again... (err, if hectic was everyday, it should be considered my normal right?) stripped down to my last sen (or, my last 5sen) and down to my remaining energy to stay up into the new day at dawn (otherwise i would be asleep right after dinner).

it has been a depressing day just earlier on friday morning, and im not sure if taking comfort in shopping is good. first, im stripped to my last 5sen. second, im stripped to my last drop of energy to do anything for the rest of the day. but anyway, i'll recap what my expenditure (on all things for self-consumption XD) looked like this month after puchases:

2. inkdeath (cornelia funke) = rm70 (this is hardcover edition; awaiting paperback in a few months time)
   
3. college textbooks = rm45-60 (per subject; its only for one or two subjects that i need books)
4. he is my master meido = rm150 (10% off rm170! and from japan~)
5. cafe meido = rm170 (15% off rm200! and from japan~)
6. cosplay fangs = rm8 (can wait for next month)
7. thinning razor = rm20-40 (unknown price; for styling wigs~)
8. adjustable rollerblades = rm120-130 (just for fun; coz its pink XD)
9. dolphin wrapping sheet = rm5-10 (the quality plastic wrapper that i have been preserving my books with!)

post-exams + sem-break = busy!

no way, huh? im your one-of-a-kind! when im free, im more busy than possible! my exams started on the first week of september, and ended on the 16th. the smart akiko that i am here, already started working for a one-week event under an extended NSN company on the 15th. i had to work the whole week, or else i dont get the job. i still got to take my final paper on tuesday morning, and then went to work after 1pm. i earned well, due to a good bonus. (my god, thank goodness!)

as for later this month, im more broke than busy (though still as busy). owh, that hits hard on my money. as well as books, gifts, cosplays, and tons of things i want to spend money on! here goes nothing.

i guess here i will make a fat list of things that i have purchased that caused my broke-ness this month (if you have to inquire exactly how i managed, ask me on msn! XD):
