cool. i got the other job at a new chidren's specialty retail shop. (i applied on saturday (first business day!), went for interview on sunday and hired to start on wednesday.) i am paid rm4 for each hour that i work, so no lunch allowance. (two hours break in a full-day's work.) oh well, have to skimp on meals. working hours 10am-10pm; sometimes i'm allowed to leave an hour early. yeah, if you still dont know, i quit the job mentioned in the last post.
26 sept 2007: day 1
i am introduced to the manager and a senior from the another outlet. here, it is only this close i can get to realise my dreams from reading ann m martin's the baby-sitter's club, for now. no, dont get me wrong. i dont baby-sit but i do get to meet a lot a kids in a day's work. oh, and dont get me wrong.. about the kids, i still think the same of them: i cant stand them. they are not adorable but i have a reason to tolerate them: its now the time for "a new generation" among my cousins. yes, they are all going raja/ratu sehari one by one. no, its not my turn next year.
27 sept 2007: day 2
today i worked with the two co-owners. they are married (yes, to each other) and miss wifey is my boss coz she hired me, and work more hours than mr husband even though she's pregnant. more customers today, compared to yesterday. more work, more running about after customers and more smiling. see why i dont want to go into the line that fits me best, PR or HR? i do so well with the clients. oh, and if you had'nt noticed yet.. anonymousity is my choise. its not about "confidentiality is ethical."
28 sept 2007: day 3
oh, so many people by late evening! chidren running wild with bob the builder and thomas and friends toys; one parent goes to one corner while the other goes the opposite corner... and i only have one body! today was the first day i worked full ten hours, 10am-10pm. yesterday i left at 9.30pm and the one before was 9.00pm. it was that busy today; i cant imagine tomorrow/the weekend: saturday and sunday. @_@

birthday.. again!
1 september 2007
someone wishes to not believe how a surprise birthday could be planned behind her back. well, here i would like to wish stepadoo a happy (belated) birthday again! and here's to christening your new screenname from now, kilmenyanne.
so here's the lay down of how the whole thing started. the week before 1 september 2007, kilmenyanne tried to hook up two pals for lunch on her birthday but both were unavailable. (one of them was yours truly.) within a week before, i found her to be one of those people who gives me a headache coz they already have what they want in their possession. (not that i have anything against it.)
half way through the week, i finally decided that i should put the plan in works. i contacted kilmenyanne's house members and rolled out the blueprint. "blueprint." haha. the next day, which was already a couple of days before the birthday, i tried to round up her friends, see if theres enough for a group. with one on the count, i striked that off the list and proceeded to move in reverse. (even fewer people.)
stubborn that i am, i still want to make it happen. on saturday morning, mum took mizuiro and i out, as planned. the unexpected thing was that i had to sacrifice one hour off the clock coz mizuiro had to go down KL to pick up something! at least, there was an hour allocated for the extra travel. on the way back, i bought the cheese cake and had a quick lunch before heading back.
upon arriving at 2pm on the dot, little kenneth was still sitting in the comfort of the living hall, oblivious to me and mizuiro's presence. he quickly let us in and i told clare to play dead. no, just kidding about clare. kilmenyanne had her back to us, so we silently arranged the seventeen candles on the cake. darn, she turned around before it was lighted. nevermind that, at least she hadnt seen me and mizuiro yet.
once she stepped out of the kitchen, they say, the rest is history. after chomping down the cake from king's confectionary (no match for secret recipe) we went for a movie in sunway pyramid. the invasion starring nicole kidman and daniel craig wouldnt start in an hour's time, so we went bowling (and window shopping) to kill time. mizuiro makes me envious of her bowling skills. kilmenyanne, was shy-shy just like how i was when i was first coaxed into playing bowling (i never gave in until i decided to a couple years later).
so what am i left to add when "the rest is history"? well, perhaps this one 'policy'. im really happy you had a great time on your seventeenth birthday, kilmenyanne; now i know how melc, tsing, luluchiaki and kenji felt after my surprise birthday a few months back. i only hope you'd stop saying, "i must give you a better birthday next year than just a copy of book." coz i hope you can pass on the fun and joy of making the day for someone else. dont let the circle break. yeah, i have very odd ways to solve things.

cineleisure damansara - comiworld 2007!
day 1: 18 august 2007
my oh my.. i have a class presentation at 10am and there are three events all happening on the same day/weekend! namely, paradise kiss fashion design competition finals (today) in 1utama, gempakstarz's comic carnival (18-20 august 2007) at sungei wang plaza, and comiworld (18-20 august 2007) at cineleisure! decisions, decisions.
after my gothic lolita presentation, around 1.30pm, i hopped on the LRT with my coursemate and his friend (both cosplaying too) to kelana jaya terminal. there we waited for a little more than half an hour before we caught the (free) shuttle bus to ikano. by the time we arrived in cineleisure, it was a quarter past three o'clock and a stalker had stopped following us. (hey, they made him sound like one, not me!) as my first time going there, lucky i dint cause my two friends to get lost on the way with me. (thanks to BD and anonymous persons who gave us directions.)
when i met up with mizuiro, moomoocow, amaterasu and manjixsama, we split up so to change into the costumes. then, there were mini events on the stage such as appearance of the malay dubbed doraemon and crayon shin chan voice actor, and quiz thingy. (one was hosted in malay and the others in chinese - neither interested me.) while shooting on the move thanks to moomoocow for the batteries, i kept an eye for familiar faces and bumped into a number of them - ayase, kikyo, kenji, may, misao, meamizumo, wild, yan (yen?), and more.. (face recognition overload! >_<)
dear me, i was mistaken as enma ai for the second time i was cosplaying as sachiko. (watch the hair! enma has layered fringe while sachiko has side parting. in the first place, the seifuku has different-coloured scarf.) so then, we went round and round cineleisure, since ive never been there before. guess what i found? tons and tons of gashapon lined up at each anime/manga/hobby shop! luckily i couldnt be tempted - i left my purse in the bag in outpost, which is on the highest floor.
not forgetting the many doujinshi booths, fun & games booth (by animax, i think) and, did i mention gashapon? XD there was one artist who randomly drew moomoocow and correctly guessed his surname! amaterasu picked up half a dozen 'goldfish' from the paper-fishing thing. i wanted to try, but i couldnt pay rm2 with no cash. manjix got himself a shana 1/6 figure (which im afraid it wasnt original from the looks of it - hey, doesn't mean im 100% correct). finally, mizuiro bought me lunch at 5pm (at a pizza place, lower floor) before we left at 6.30pm.

there was a large bleach and naruto group. in couples, inuyasha, gundam seed destiny, gintama, code geass, twin lolita (kurozakuro?), etc. small groups of pheonix wright: ace attorney, random ninja, and gundam boxes. there was a cosplay competition at 4pm, but i did not participate.. i'll leave it to your verdict that i wanted to join i but my registeration was late, or i purposedly registered late so that i wouldnt be able to participate. anyway, there were 10 finalist out of perhaps 30 applicants?
cosplayers were assigned two random items each on-the-spot; use it to show and stay in their character. among the items were death note, large inflatable sword, pink umbrella, tamborine, green inflatable poring, obi, "kawaii ne" placard, and plush cow.. (memorably disected by mayuri kurotsuchi dont you feel moved, moomoocow?) please may i have the chii persocom ears, thank you.
i can only wonder who won the cosplay prizes coz i was busy being robbed at an eatery on the third floor - rm2 for the same (or better) currypuff i can get outside for half the price. also, slow and steady wont win the race when you have hungry customers. it took them as much time to get a coke for amaterasu as i use to make four bowls of instant noodle, one-by-one. =_="
at the end of the day, the gundam boxes received scratches from nekomimi meido and nekomimi random (ritsuka?), and flyers pasted on them by cat talez (singapore english manga distributor of chuang yi publications in malaysia - i want my blaue rosen 3! <3)>

Confessions of a College Girl.. III
alright, this is the last part of the three-in-one-day august blog entry: Confessions of a College Girl at the end of Semester One. yup, the previous unpublished posts left in draft mode are integrated in here too, if that's what you were hoping for.
STOP! first, an unfortunate announcement. (please re-read that line with deep expression.) first, an unfortunate announcement. i can no longer access the internet from home coz the line has been disconnected. sponsor me wi-fi or something! therefore, resulting in me adopting the college computer lab as my second home. afterall, the next time (and onwards) i will be blogging, chatting, emailing and surfing the net from the lab. D:
(of all times, it had to be at the start of the month (september) when i go college least. i have only five days of examinations this month. next semester begins on the second week of october! i dont know to cry or rejoice. seriously.)
5 august: what a moody start to the month. i was tired, exhausted, sometimes bored and emo. at least it didnt last long, before i resumed some enthusiasm and energy.
8 august: an interesting point to add is the new blogger profile search. back when i first saw the profile pages, i thought they linked one interest to another's. but they don't. yet. took them a long time to iron out the details. well, i did some clicking (interest: cosplay) and found myself with a couple local cosplayers namely eclair and lissa. if im not wrong, i should have exchanged a few words with eclair in TCC forum while no doubt lissa was the mikami teru i met at taylor's anime festival last month.
12 august: wouldnt you believe it, dad, mizuiro and i treated ourselves to pizza hut's dip-licious sausage bites with bbq-flavoured cheese dip for lunch. (stepadoo and i treated ourselves to pizza hut's dip-licious cheesy bites last month.) i was dying for some mood booster and if the pizza hut flyer said cheese is a good mood booster, it had better be. well, it did work better than chocolate. come to think of it, i haven't had chocolate waffle in a long time. (long=several weeks)
14 august: i stepped on the weighing scale and noticed i gained a little weight! but still underweight for my height. today, my first chance to be yukari - missed! i was told that from my measurement, i was "too slim" or something. i also peeked into august issue of seventeen (magazine that melc introduced to me) and read that gemini's horoscope predicts that i "will meet a guy who i want to spend time with on 18 august" to the extend that i might accidentally ignored my friends. hey, that's comiworld!
16 august: bad luck! yesterday, my college tag went missing! not only it had my student ID, it held my LRT month pass and bus tickets and timetable. lucky i had some helpful friends from class who were commuting home the same way.. and found a second but dirty copy of my class schedule (which i am thankful for being a packrat) at home. fortunately, i found the tag today - or there goes the part of my allowance (for gashapon and stuff) on train tickets.
17 august: good day. i was informed of a local modeling agency ad somewhere in campus, i dont know what to think of it so i gave them a call. (i guess if the first fashion design student who asked had chosen me to model, i'd be screaming CAROLINE!!) later, stepadoo's dad treated us at hilton hotel lobby, as he made us meet at kl sentral. i ordered chocolate mudcake (that minori was ever craving about) and sparkling water. mmm.. moar choc~!
25 august: melc called again today! ^__^ she's happily working away at starbucks - when the last time she phoned, she was filling up an application form. btw, send me some starbucks coffee chocolate, melc!
28 august: yeay~! second shot at modeling for a fashion design student, jacklyn. i survived the 5-inch heels and took a liking to it and her one-piece at the end of the presentation. also, i found out that they were being judged to select three for a national-level fashion design competition in conjunction with independence day! jacklyn's design is pending as one of two under consideration to be the third entry (two have already been taken up.)
in the evening, i went for a movie with stepadoo at times square - evan almighty. then, met kenji and yori at mid valley in the same evening. yup, you read it right - times square and then mid valley. i have been to more places in one day, but kenji would probably laugh and said no way i cant top him. =_=" btw, dear yori and kenji, you have no reason to fear my hairdo - i was modeling for jacklyn (refer photo above).
29 august: cooking monster. i dont get it, i could cook well when i had 'home econ' aka kemahiran hidup classes in lower secondary school. but now i can only go as far as appetizers/snacks without ruining it (i make yummy pizza bites XP). i dont know what to say to dear guru, kenji, about the cod/dory and potato croquettes, and fusili pasta. after lunch, i dont really have an appetite to eat like i did for the past month. for example, i skipped supper even if i woke up (or rather, was awaken by a phone call) past midnight with a grumbling stomach. hear me: i still wont give up cooking!
31 august: aw great. guess what? it was fine a couple of days ago. but yesterday, i noticed that i couldnt make any phone calls from "my office phone" aka the-phone-that-nobody-uses-other-than-internet-purpose-so-it-is-my-private-line. goodbye, internet. cheers. here's to me taking full-fledged advantage of the college computer lab. instead of spreading the word (online messenger aka chatting) on malaysia's 50th independence day, i watched fireworks at midnight yesterday from the high-ground split-level playground near home, with several of mizuiro's classmates too. ironically, there goes my internet independence - day 2.

hah! you couldnt be more wrong than that, you cant! me - dating? perhaps. but half a dozen hot guys in a month's time? dream on. but of course, it also depends on how you count what is a date (and who's hot). according to this article [clovetwo] a date is a date, even if you youngsters today call it hang out with a friend (of the opposite sex).

very true, if you ticked this right. i cannot control my appetite and did gain a little weight since i enrolled into first semester. how can i help it? im not to leave home without breakfast, i have some food packed away to college, there are two canteens and one cafetaria in campus, i pass by masjid jamek lrt station almost everyday (hot currypuff, banana fritters, keropok lekor, mcd apple pie, burger king mozarella cheese) and not to forget, dinner by the time i get home.

oh, no, i have not! four votes? *halo* yes, i went for a couple of movies. yes, i grabbed a second set of suzumiya haruhi no yuuutsu gashapon. but not the truant part. the same person who commented the aforementioned also said, "why do you attend every class? you've never skipped any. you could take the final week off if you want."

mm hm. *nod* this one is correct, but why only three pathetic votes? ah well, im not known to read blogs, but i did. XP i was also watching anime (Air Gear, Code Geass, Ginban Kaleidoscope - end, Hayate no Gotoku, Innocent Venus - end, Nodame Cantabile - end) and napped a lot (commuting daily to and from college sure is tiring). thus, when im online, these are only some of the distractions.
Been addicted to clubbing and a little drug abuse. 2 (28%)
how false! do you know im part otaku? *drops down to her knees and forehead on the ground, and begs for forgiveness* im not socialable up to that level, that i wouldn't even think of thinking to dream of entering a club. dont even mention drug. the only drug i ever take is when im sick and prescribed by the doctor.
